The North Face Reimagines the Iconic 1994 Retro Mountain Light Jacket

Rematerialized with the label’s breathable-waterproof technology, FUTURELIGHT.

First introduced in 1988 as part of its “Climb Light Expedition System” collection, The North Face has unveiled a new take on the iconic 1994 Retro Mountain Light jacket. The unisex garment comes in seven different colorways such as “Black,” “Camo,” “Clear Lake Blue,” “Fiery Red,” “Grey,” “Jaiden Green” and “Mr Pink.”

Originally built for fast mountain ascents, the new iteration of the Mountain Light has been rematerialized with the label’s breathable-waterproof technology, FUTURELIGHT. Additionally, the piece also features the design lines from the original 1994 edition, making it the lightest version ever created. Take a closer look at the jacket in the galleries above and below.

The 1994 Retro Mountain Light is now available for purchase at The North Face’s website and in-stores globally. For more of this brand, be sure to check out its Urban Exploration “Mountain Office” Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
