Vans Reinterprets the Old Skool and Slip-On As Mules

Introducing the “Mule Family” pack.

Vans has given its iconic Old Skool and Slip-On sneakers a summer-friendly update, reinterpreting the two models as backless mules. Arriving in bright red, green and yellow colorways, the shoes make up the new “Mule Family” pack suited for both indoor and outdoor wear.

The Old Skool Mule is constructed of a suede and canvas upper accented with Vans’ signature white Jazz Stripe on the lateral. White laces serve as purely ornamental detailing. The Slip-On Mule features a classic checkerboard print in green-white and yellow-white combinations. Both shoes are branded with a logo rubber tag at the heel foxing.

The Vans “Mule Family” pack ranges from approximately $50 to $60 USD and releases May 15 on the Vans website.
