Netflix Announces Virtual Pride Celebration Featuring the Cast of 'Queer Eye'
Along with Normani, Dolly Parton and more.
Joining a slew of digital parties and broadcasts honoring Pride Month, Netflix will host a virtual celebration featuring appearances by the “Fab 5” cast members of hit series Queer Eye, R&B singer Normani and country icon Dolly Parton. The event will be broadcast on Netflix’s official YouTube and TikTok accounts.
Though a schedule of programming hasn’t yet been announced, a press release specifies that the celebration will include “moments of reflection, moments to celebrate queer artists and performers, and dialogue to inspire change and action.” Adding to the event’s star-studded lineup, competitors from various seasons of Rupaul’s Drag Race will also make appearances. Expect to see Gigi Goode, Trixie Mattel and season nine winner Sasha Velour, among others.
The virtual event will benefit three organizations advocating for the LGBTQ+ community: OutRight Action International, Trans Justice Funding Project and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute.
Netflix Pride will stream on Netflix’s Instagram and TikTok accounts on June 30 at 4 p.m. PST (7 p.m. EST).
