Alo and Tatcha Team up to Create "Tatchaland" on Animal Crossing
Releasing exclusive in-game merchandise as well as IRL products.
The collaboration came into place as Alo’s latest drop features some of the label’s versatile styles in the new colorway “Lavender Smoke,” which coincidentally is similar to one of Tatcha’s signature hues. To coincide with the release of Tatcha’s “The Rice Wash” on August 3, the two have created virtual merchandise and a “Tatchaland Island” that customers can visit through Animal Crossing. The QR codes will be published on AC Instagram account @NookStreetMarket, and will also give followers the chance to win a set of merch IRL.
Partnering with Claire Marshall, Tatchaland will be streamed on Twitch through influencer and media activations before the island opens to consumers on August 14. Sign-ups to visit the island open on August 7 online at tatcha.com, and will also include an opportunity to win travel-sized product and more virtual Alo outfits.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Tatcha in this first-of-its-kind digital collaboration between fashion and beauty. Our values similarly align with Tatcha, and as they believe that beauty begins in the heart and the mind, Alo believes beauty comes from within,” said co-CEO and co-founder Danny Harris on the new collaboration.
Get a sneak peek at the exclusive merch above, and catch the Twitch stream on August 3 and August 4. The virtual “Lavender Smoke” hoodie drops IRL on August 18 on the Alo Yoga website.
