Pat McGrath Labs Taps Legendary Photographer Steven Meisel For Dark Star Campaign

UPDATE (July 13, 2020): In celebration of the upcoming Dark Star mascara, Pat McGrath Labs has joined forces with Steven Meisel once again to shoot its latest campaign. Starring Naomi Campbell, the global face of the beauty brand, Irina Shayk, Damian Hurley, Salomon Diaz, Maty Fall Diba, Leon Dame, Tess McMillan, Hudson Kroenig and Marisa Berenson, all of Pat McGrath‘s muses were photographed by Meisel wearing the Dark Star. McGrath commented on her latest team-up with her long time collaborator and close friend in a press release saying:

ORIGINAL STORY (July 8, 2020): Following the release of its cult-favorite FetishEyes, Pat McGrath Labs has unveiled a new mascara dubbed the Dark Star. The new multi-dimensional mascara provides twice the volume for a more bold and dramatic look.
Previously used at Versace‘s Fall/Winter 2020 show in Milan and Louis Vuitton‘s FW20 show in Paris, the Dark Star’s zero-gravity formula contains quantum micro-pigments that give the lashes a lengthier look. As for the brush, the applicator arrives in a custom-carved silhouette, which helps lift and sculpt the lashes. “Dark Star Mascara is its own force field. It transcends your most surreal lash fantasies, warping reality with otherworldly levels of volume, length and curl,” said Pat McGrath in a press release.
The Dark Star in “Xtreme Black” retails for $30 USD, which you can purchase at Pat McGrath and Sephora on July 14.
