MM6 Maison Margiela's SS21 Collection Caters to the New 9 to 5
Inspired by Martin Margiela’s best designs.
Earlier this year, MM6 Maison Margiela delivered a vibrant range of garments for Spring/Summer 2020. For Spring/Summer 2021, the French luxury fashion house has decided to cater to the new nine to five routine with a collection of chic yet comfortable silhouettes inspired by Martin Margiela’s previous works.
Designed by the MM6 team, the line includes chopped garments that break formality and boast a neutral color palette throughout. Pinstripe and poplin sleeves have been cropped to elbow length, while blouses have been shorn apart as a jacket and skirt. Additionally, typewriter descriptions can be found on select items, as well as archive polka dot prints, which have been warped across pleating. As for accessories, the collection consists of schoolgirl satchels patched onto cotton tote bags, giant solitaire ring pendants, nude mesh jewelry and more. Rounding out the range are the square-toe sneakers, MM6’s signature tape heels and cylindrical “6” stamp boots.
