Nanushka Reveals Surrealist "Teleport" Lookbook for Pre-Fall 2021
Filled with eco-friendly knitwear and regenerated leather pieces.
After expanding its offerings with eyewear and a menswear line, Nanushka has returned to unveil its Pre-Fall 2021 collection titled “Teleport.” The lookbook showcases designer Sandra Sandor’s creative world inspired by Surrealist art and nature.
“I was immediately inspired by an abstract picture frame in my home, and the more I delved into this inspiration, the more I could see that immediate connection with Surrealist motifs and cues,” the designer says in a press release. “That is where we headed, looking at the relationship between form and organic shapes and how we tap into their qualities in our collection direction.”
The lineup features garments that subtly contrast with one another. A head-to-toe pink knitwear set boasts a snug fit, while a square-neck blouse is paired with structured faux leather trousers. Other standout designs include a tailored suit worn alongside a boilersuit with frayed details at the waist – an element symbolizing one’s inner voice being teleported to the outer world. Elsewhere, soft floral prints emerge on a body-hugging dress as more lengthy fringes accentuate faux leather looks. Keeping true to the brand’s values on sustainability, Nanushka has crafted each item with materials such as 100 percent recycled mesh jersey, organic cotton and regenerated leather.
