Take a First Look at the Jean Paul Gaultier x sacai x Nike VaporWaffle
Set to premiere as part of Chitose Abe’s upcoming Jean Paul Gaultier Couture collection.
Ahead of its official premiere, the Jean Paul Gaultier x sacai x Nike LDVaporWaffle Mix has been unveiled in a series of leaked images. The sneaker, which will make its debut at Chitose Abe’s guest-designed Jean Paul Gaultier Couture collection, merges design elements of the sacai x Nike LDV Waffle and the VaporWaffle. The mid-height shoe — set to arrive in two colorways, “Black/Black-White” and “Semi-Blue-Void White” — is a maximalist style that features oversized stitching at the upper, a double-layered tongue and a multi-tiered midsole.
The Jean Paul Gaultier x sacai x Nike LDVaporWaffle Mix is rumored to retail for $180 USD and release sometime this fall. Currently, it’s unclear when Abe’s Jean Paul Gaultier Couture show will take place (it was postponed twice, most recently in January).
