1017 ALYX 9SM Readies for Spring and Summer With Technical Mono Slip Shoes

A set of monochrome designs by Matthew Williams.

Matthew Williams continues to keep busy with his tenure at Givenchy and 1017 ALYX 9SM. Prepping for the Spring/Summer 2021 season, the designer has crafted a new shoe dubbed the Mono Slip for the tech-focused brand.

First introduced in the label’s SS21 collection, the footwear style comes in monochromatic black and white iterations. Boasting a tonal and simple design overall, the shoe features intricate details when examined up close. Technical grooves take over the upper and soles, which are entirely composed of a singular piece of EVA foam. With occasional perforations along the upper, the design is rounded out with 1017 ALYX 9SM’s logo embossed on the sides and rear.

Take a detailed look via the gallery above. The Mono Slip is available for pre-order now via 1017 ALYX 9SM’s web store for $1,457 USD a pair.
