COMME des GARÇONS x Salomon Launch SS21 Footwear Collaboration
The duo’s towering platform sneaker hits stores.
First revealed in October 2020, COMME des GARÇONS and Salomon‘s footwear collaboration has officially launched online and in stores.
The duo teamed up on two eye-catching styles, the Sense Feel platform sneaker and the RX 3.0 sandal, both of which were unveiled at COMME des GARÇONS’ Spring/Summer 2021 show. The Sense Feel merges Salomon’s outdoor sensibility with Rei Kawakubo‘s avant-garde approach, combining a mesh upper with a rubber platform midsole. An Ortholite insole keeps the towering shoe relatively comfortable. A more versatile silhouette, the RX 3.0 is a Mary Jane-esque sandal with a buckled strap. Also arriving in black and white mesh, the slip-on features a low platform midsole and an EVA insole.
The COMME des GARÇONS x Salomon Sense Feel and RX 3.0 retail for $350 and $210 USD respectively at the Dover Street Market website. The collaboration is also available at COMME des GARÇONS flagship stores.
