AURALEE x Tokyo Design Studio New Balance Rework the R_C2 Silhouette
Boasting a nude pink and brown-black colorways.
Earlier this month, AURALEE unveiled its upcoming collaborative 550 sneaker with New Balance. Now, the Japanese fashion label is set to release another rework of one of the sportswear brand’s shoes: the R_C2.
First revealed on AURALEE’s Spring/Summer 2021 runway show, the silhouette arrives in two colorways such as nude pink and brown-black. The upper of both iterations are crafted from a blend of suede and mesh material, giving it an overall premium look. Elsewhere, the shoes come with GORE-TEX lining and slip-resistant outsoles. Inspired by AURALEE’s SS21 designs, the kicks reflect the collection’s pale tailoring, neutral knitwear and dark-toned outerwear.
AURALEE x Tokyo Design Studio New Balance’s R_C2 will be available on March 19 in Japan via AURALEE and New Balance Japan’s websites, as well as New Balance’s Roppongi outpost and T-HOUSE shop.
