Your Favorite Velcro Sandal Just Got a Rainbow Makeover for Pride Month
Teva takes ROYGBIV to the next level.
As Pride Month approaches, Teva is launching a collection of rainbow sandals in tandem with a $35,000 USD donation to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, an organization that champions LGBTQ+ rights through legislation and policy.
Revealed in a lookbook taking cues from New York City’s ballroom culture, classic Teva silhouettes — including the Original Universal and the Midform Universal — are updated with rainbow straps. The Flatform Universal, a chunky platform, features a hefty, ROYGBIV-striped midsole. The brand is even extending its colorful offerings to pets with the release of vibrant dog collars and leashes made of recycled plastic yarn.
Teva’s 2021 Pride Pack ranges from $15 to $70 USD at the Teva website. In case you missed it, the organizers of NYC Pride have banned police from attending all Pride-related events.
