BTS x McDonald's Mania Isn't Over Yet—Duo Expands Collab With Second Merch Drop
Will you cop the “Butter” pajama pants? Or a T-shirt illustrated by Suga himself?
Since its launch in late May, the BTS x McDonald’s meal has caused quite a stir — savvy resellers have been peddling used packaging from the meal online, while particularly enthusiastic K-pop fans shut down several McDonald’s locations in Indonesia due to overcrowding. Building on the hype, BTS and McDonald’s have announced a second drop of co-branded merchandise commemorating their historic partnership.
The drop is comprised of two different ranges, the “Saucy” collection and the “Melting” collection. The former features T-shirts printed with hand-drawn illustrations by all seven BTS members (J-Hope’s design is a doodle of smiling french fries, while Jungkook‘s depicts an anthropomorphized hamburger) and the latter pays tribute to the group’s record-breaking single, “Butter” (tote bags, pajama pants and more are printed with the song’s cover art). Accessories and extras including butter-shaped suitcase tags and butter-emblazoned socks round out the release.
The BTS x McDonald’s “Saucy” and “Melting” collections drop on June 16 at 7 p.m. EST on the Weverse Shop app. Fans can preview all items starting at 7 a.m. EST.
