The Fall/Winter 2022 menswear shows didn’t hold back when it came to footwear. From COMME des GARÇONS‘ Nike Air Max 97 to sacai‘s forthcoming Cortez, the runways and digital presentations offered a preview at some of 2022’s most highly anticipated collaborations. ’90s-inspired footwear and basketball sneakers dominated the shows, while the dad shoe remained front and center at Fendi and Courrèges.

Dior Embellished Tennis Shoe
Minimal sneakers took over the Dior runway. The upscale take on the classic sneaker features lateral embellishments and prominent Dior branding on the tongue.
COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Air Max 97
The Nike Air Max 97 gets the CdG treatment in powder blue and black colorways. The release joins the vintage-inspired sneaker trend with aged leather overlays.
Louis Vuitton LV Trainer 2
Louis Vuitton revealed a new footwear silhouette called the LV Trainer 2 that features elements of classic ’90s basketball sneakers. The high-top comes with an ankle strap and an exaggerated LV basketball logo.
sacai x Nike Cortez
sacai brings its stacked aesthetic to the Nike Cortez. Previewed in two colorways, the model boasts an exposed Air unit, exaggerated heel clip and double Swooshes.
Fendi Metallic Trainer
Fendi covers a classic trainer silhouette in metallic hues. The luxe dad shoe features leather overlays, molded panels and a Fendi-branded tongue tag.
A-COLD-WALL* Shrouded Sneaker
A-COLD-WALL* adds a suede sneaker boot to its fall collection. The model sports a shrouded design reminiscent of the Air Jordan 17 and the Jordan Trunner.
Courrèges Retro Runner
Courrèges updates a ’70s runner with a stacked sole, suede construction and exaggerated tongue bearing the French house’s logo.
Etro Shearling Sneaker
Etro covers its Fall 2022 footwear in mismatched shearling with zigzag topstitching and rope laces. The cozy model evokes the collection’s woodsy theme, which featured wolf graphics and cargo pants.
