Kim Kardashian and Ye Finalize Divorce
The rapper has to pay the reality star $200,000 USD a month in child support.
More than a year after initial reports of their split, Kim Kardashian and Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) have finalized their divorce.
As reported by People, the former couple has come to an agreement on child custody and property. The two will have “equal access” to their four children North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm, while the rapper is required to pay the SKIMS founder $200,000 USD a month in child support. In addition, he is responsible for half of the expenses covering his kids’ education and security.
Kardashian and Ye have also agreed that they will settle disputes by participating in mediation when it comes to disputes involving their children. If one party doesn’t show up, the other is eligible to make the final call by default. As for properties, the two are splitting their assets according to their prenup, which states they will also waive spousal support.
Reports of the now ex-couple’s split first surfaced in January 2021, while Kardashian has continuously fought for divorce over the past two years, including during her relationship with Pete Davidson.
