'BTS Yet to Come in Cinemas' Will Release in 2023

Here’s what you need to know about the new film.

An all-new BTS film is set to hit our theater screens early next year, and we’ve got the inside scoop.

With a focus on the group’s October show in Busan, South Korea, the new film — dubbed BTS Yet to Come in Cinemas – is set to feature concert footage and unreleased scenes. According to the group, the film will offer “special cinematic cut, re-edited and remixed for the big screen” as well as a “whole new view” of the performance for its fans.

The film is set for release across 110 countries and territories for a limited time, plus there’ll be a series of “light stick screenings” on February 4 which allow BTS fans the opportunity to bring their light sticks to theaters. The film will also be screened in a number of “special” versions, with one offering an “immersive 270-degree field of view ScreenX, 4DX.”

“We look forward to collaborating once again with the teams at CJ 4DPlex, and HYBE to bring BTS’ awe-inspiring Busan concert to the big screen in this special cinematic cut,” said Trafalgar Releasing CEO Marc Allenby in a statement. “The group’s engagement with audiences has always been perfectly suited to the cinema, and we are excited to welcome fans from all corners of the globe to this must-see celebration.”

Jong Ryeol Kim, CEO of CJ 4DPLEX, added, “We are thrilled to announce our second ScreenX collaboration and first 4DX, 4DXScreeen collaboration with BTS. This film is made for both special formats, which fans can experience our movie completely through enlarged screens with 3 different angles and moving motion seats aligning to BTS’ music.”

BTS Yet to Come in Cinemas is set to premiere on February 1, 2023 with tickets going on sale on January 10, 2023.
