Selena Gomez Manifested Her Golden Globe Nomination
This is what dreams are made of.
There is nothing Selena Gomez can’t do as the singer, actor and makeup mogul, manifested her Golden Globe nomination into existence.
The former Disney star received a nod for her role as Mabel Mora in the hit TV series Only Murders in the Building, starring opposite Hollywood legends, Steve Martin and Martin Short. The triple threat proved that dreams do come true as she shared an adorable and prophetic clip of her 2011 KTLA Morning Show interview on TikTok in which she revealed how much she wanted an acting award.
While the host asked Gomez if she’d like to win a Grammy for her music, the Rare Beauty founder made it clear that the big screen is where her heart and ambitions lie as she shared, “I think it would be an honor, of course, but I’m more of a Golden Globe or Oscar girl.” Gomez captioned the wholesome video, “Dreams do come true. Guys, I’m nominated for a Golden Globe. Brb gonna scream.”
It seems like Selena gets to have the best of both worlds as she was also nominated for a Grammy this year as Relevación was a contender for Best Latin Pop Album. Gomez shares the nomination for Best Actress as Jenna Ortega also received the honor for her role as Wednesday in the hit Netflix series. Joining Gomez and Ortega are Quinta Brunson for Abbott Elementary and Kaley Cuoco for The Flight Attendant.
