Nike Launches 2022 Black History Month Footwear and Apparel Collection

Featuring customizable Air Force 1s and apparel.

Since 2005, Nike has honored Black History Month with capsule collections and special edition sneakers. This year, the Swoosh continues the tradition with a “Future Movement” drop that includes a customizable Air Force 1 Low and BHM-themed apparel.

Expanding the Nike By You family of personalized sneakers, the Air Force 1 Low FM “Joy By You” builds upon the classic AF1, adding a new brush-off leather upper option that fades to either green, yellow or red — colors which symbolize “vibrant energies of light within,” according to Nike.

The “Future Movement” theme continues on to the collection’s tees and hoodies. Both offered in black with pale green text and Swooshes.

In 2020, Nike and Jordan Brand committed to investing $140 million into the Black community over the next ten years. The 2022 grantee recipients include Son of a Saint, All Star Code, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the Equal Justice Initiative.

The Nike Black History Month “Future Movement” collection is available now via Nike.
