Giu Giu Unveils Colorful Knitwear in SS23 "La Force Vitale" Collection

Inspired by designer Giuliana Leila Raggiani’s trip to Albuquerque.

Los Angeles- and Paris-based knitwear label Giu Giu is back with a new collection for the Spring/Summer 2023 season as a continuation of its Fall/Winter 2022 range that explored the concept of death.

Titled “La Force Vitale,” or “Life Force” in French, takes inspiration from designer Giuliana Leila Raggiani’s trip to Albuquerque, where she was intrigued by the cellular formations of her blood cells while taking part in a blood test. A mix of influences from science and technology as well as spirituality and joy, the lineup features a wide range of colors on the brand’s signature knitwear pieces. The ribbed designs are dressed in sky blue, lemon yellow and more, in addition to abstract prints.

New silhouettes introduced in the SS23 collection include a shrink wrap, a tankini and a mini-jupe set featuring drawstring and ruched details. The Nonna dress in “No-Thing” features Giu Giu’s core color “Onyx” along with tonal black Japanese lurex.

Peep the collection via the gallery above. Giu Giu will be presenting the “La Force Vitale” range at a presentation at Paris Fashion Week.
