Netflix's New K-Drama Starring Park Seo-joon, Han Sohee, Wi Hajun Confirmed for Season 2
The first installment ‘Gyeongseong Creature’ is set to premiere in early 2023.
UPDATE (November 3, 2022): Netflix‘s upcoming K-drama starring Park Seo-joon (Parasite, Itaewon Class), Han Sohee (My Name, The World of the Married, Nevertheless), Wi Hajun (Squid Game, Little Women) is already confirmed for a second season.
Titled Gyeongseong Creature, the series is described to be a thriller set in 1945 in the city of Gyeongseong (the former name of Seoul used during Japanese colonial rule). The first installment, which has already been filmed and is expected to premiere in early 2023, has already been greenlit for Season 2, which will begin production around the same time.
In the show, which additionally features Claudia Kim (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald), Park Seo-joon will be playing the role of Jang Tae-sang — a wealthy informant in the city — while Han Sohee plays Yoon Chae-ok — a specialist in finding missing persons.

ORIGINAL STORY (September 27, 2022): Netflix, which just teased its upcoming South Korean releases including the second season of Single’s Inferno and Hellbound, has announced plans for a new thriller K-drama series titled Gyeongseong Creature.
The upcoming show will star Park Seo-joon, Han Sohee, Wi Hajun and Claudia Kim (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald). While not much information is known just yet, Netflix reveals that Gyeongseong Creature is set in 1945 in the city of Gyeongseong and “follows individuals going up against monstrous creatures that were born out of human greed.” The series is written by renowned television screenwriter Kang Eun-kyung, the name behind The World of the Married and King of Baking, Kim Takgu, while additional cast members include Kim Hae-sook (Start-Up, Hospital Playlist) and Cho Han-cheul (Vincenzo, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha).
