NewJeans Kicks off 2023 With New Single, "OMG"
Shortly after their latest hit “Ditto.”
NewJeans, the breakout K-pop rookie group of 2022, is kicking off another strong year with new music for their fans.
As teased previously, the quintet has returned with a track titled “OMG” as part of their new project which also features “Ditto” — a nostalgic, winter-themed single that dropped at the end of December 2022. Prior to the release, eagle-eyed fans had pointed out that the track was teased in Y2K-themed promotional clips shared on the K-pop group’s social channels.
“OMG” comes about half a year after NewJeans’ much talked-about debut, featuring four buzzy tracks including “Attention” and “Hype Boy.” Following the release of their inaugural album, the music act has caught the attention of not only K-pop fans, but also the fashion world with Hanni being named global ambassador for Gucci and most recently, Hyein for Louis Vuitton.
NewJeans’ latest single “OMG” is now out on major streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
