Aries Gets Physical With New Umbro Collaboration
Inspired by the great British sport of rugby.
London-based label Aries is back with another impressive collaboration, this time joining forces with Umbro once again.
Drawing inspiration from British rugby games, the capsule comprises classic rugby shirts with cotton track pants, shorts and rugby socks. Arriving in a quintessentially British color palette of navy, dark green and maroon, the capsule is rounded out by rugby accessories like a co-branded mouthguard, emblazoned with “Aries” and Umbro logos. Elsewhere, the second rugby shirt offers a more muted approach to the sport, arriving in a beige and white colorway.
Offering a halfway point between “pagan” and “preppy,” the capsule is accompanied by a high-octane campaign, lensed by award-winning photographer Elaine Constantine and spotlighting local East London rugby teams from Hackney Rugby Club. Umbro continues to join a long list of Aries collaborators from recent times, including Juicy Couture, Tommy Hilfiger and FILA.
The brand also recently opened its first-ever London store, continuing to showcase the best of British, within the streetwear and sportswear communities.
