The smart cousin to the shaggy wolf cut.

For the fall, many quiet beauty trends often rise through the ranks of TikTok, leaving us with no choice but to try them. On HairTok, one stunning chop making viral rounds is a continuation of the shaggy wolf cut, but with more fabulosity. The “Hush” haircut is light, feathery and ultra-easy to maintain — making its way to be a glamorous look with just the right amount of femininity.

What is the “Hush” cut?

Originating from Korea, the “Hush” cut is layered throughout the tresses creating a beautiful balance of weight and movement in the hair. When the hair is cut to move, it falls naturally into form, leaving room to skip over-styling your hair. The concept of the cut is to be very soft and feathery. The strands are cultivated to have a light and airy feel.

The haircut is great for anyone who wants to “get up and go” per se.

Who can get the “Hush” cut?

No matter what TikTok tells you, please try to avoid achieving this look alone. The chop relies on professional attention to detail and you will only get the same results if it is executed properly.

The “Hush” cut can be done on most hair types. Be sure to work with your hairstylist on framing your face and cutting the hair according to your hair type. Finer hair would want to layer less, while thicker/curly hair would want to layer the hair to frame the face so it can shrink into place.

How to maintain the “Hush” cut?

The cut is very much a “shake and bake” type of hairstyle. For the upkeep, lean on texturizing/hydrating products and mousses to keep the effortless flow of the hair.
