BATSHEVA Unveils TOMS Collaboration for SS24
Delivering frilly and feminine footwear.
New York-based brand BATSHEVA is joining forces with TOMS as the whimsical and quirky brand revealed its collaboration during its Spring/Summer 2024 show during New York Fashion Week.
The always innovative label puts its unique spin on the classic footwear, decorating slip-ons with coquettish ruffles and bold, fuzzy pom-poms, marrying its playful and vintage-inspired approach with TOMS’ casual aesthetic. “I thought it would be cool to hand-sew ruffly trims around the edges and on top of TOMS shoes, to take the casual vibe of the shoes and make them frilly and feminine. We used deadstock lace and ruffled trims that we sourced locally here in NYC,” Batsheva Hay shares in an exclusive press release. For the SS24 season, Hay look to the 1950s as a creative compass, expanding on the could-be wardrobe of a housewife — if she lived in New York and wore upcycled garments.
Worn by the likes of Sofia Richie and Taylor Swift, the collaboration embodies the spirit of both brands, “standing as a testament to the power of creativity,” as TOMS Chief Brand and Impact Officer Amy Smith adds.
