Loro Piana’s Linen-Infused SS25 Collection Is a Textural Delight

Blending the organic fiber with other heirloom weaves on suits, skirts, and accessories.

This year, Loro Piana has been commemorating its century-long legacy through a contemporary reimagination of its classic silhouettes, material blends, and craftsmanship techniques in various collections. As it builds on this heritage focus, the luxury Italian maison unveils a plush and textural Spring/Summer 2025 range where one particular material plays the starring role: linen.

A seasonal favorite in Loro Piana’s portfolio, linen has widely contributed to its renowned reputation in fine fabrics. Having acquired the heritage textile maison Solbiati ten years ago, it continues to innovate through new ways of manipulating and refashioning the material for modern-day wardrobes. As seen in this season’s collection, its latest experimentations come into play in a number of garments where it’s blended with other heirloom fibers for textural complexity.

At the forefront of the collection, a unique tweed-like linen is presented on a selection of long overcoats, cropped bomber jackets, and sleek blazers, bringing an element of structure to the tailored looks. The crisp lines are further accentuated through elegant pleated midi-skirts and tapered trousers in a lighter-weight version of this season’s dedicated fabric.

Maintaining the richness lent by the linen suiting, casual tops – including cotton blouses and denim silk shirts – adopt a neutral palette of browns and dusty pink as well as check patterns and soft floral prints. Loro Piana also incorporates its signature cashmere blend on easy-to-wear knitwear pieces while its newly innovated denim silk material comes crafted into shorts and flowing dresses.

The cherry on top of the collection is the assortment of accessories. From pillbox-shaped and bucket hats to necklaces and pins, the featured pieces showcase the versatility of linen as it comes molded and embroidered in a multitude of forms. To round off the range, heeled and flat versions of the maison’s classic mule and loafer give foundation to the garments with complementing brown and cream tones.

Loro Piana is now showcasing the SS25 offering during Milan Fashion Week. At Palazzo Belgioioso, a special installation titled “All About Linen” places the garments in a linen-cloaked room featuring large tapestries and smaller artworks by Adriana Meunié as well as a display of the world’s finest linen blend: Nm110. Fans also have the chance to stop by the maison’s returning Via Dei Giardini newsstand with gifts and sweet treats inspired by this season’s dedicated fabric.
