Amelia Gray Is the New Face of Stella McCartney’s Elyse Shoe

The OG vegan “It” shoe is so back.

You only need to catch a glimpse of that chunky platform to know it’s Stella McCartney‘s Elyse. First spotted on the FW14 runway, this OG vegan “It” shoe has been a staple on everyone from Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, to Rihanna and Beyoncé. Now, it’s back in the spotlight with a fresh campaign fronted by Amelia Gray, with new colors, next-gen materials and customisation options to boot.

As the new face of the Elyse, Gray brings the shoe’s signature duality to life. Think masculine vs. feminine, timeless vs. trend-forward, classic tailoring meets sporty edge. She’s dressed in Stella McCartney’s Savile Row tailoring, lingerie and Stellawear, proving just how versatile the Elyse is.

The new capsule collection includes two sleek new shades, tonal grey and navy, plus two standout faux-exotic finishes: a snakeskin-inspired style made from mycelium (yes, mushrooms) and a croc-effect vegan leather crafted from upcycled apple waste.

Of course, the eco-cred runs deeper. The Elyse still features that signature FSC-certified wooden wedge and a saw-edged micro-sole. Even the glue is 100% vegan and cruelty-free. McCartney’s always stood firm on her no-leather, no-fur, no-feathers, no-skins policy, and the Elyse is proof that high fashion doesn’t have to harm the planet (or animals) to be stylish.

For a limited time, you can personalise your pair with brass charms, available exclusively at select Stella McCartney boutiques worldwide. The limited-edition capsule is available now, both in-store and via the Stella McCartney website.

In other footwear news, ERL just joined the flip flop frenzy.
