Here's a Backstage Look at STAND's SS19 Show
Closing out Stockholm Fashion Week.
Swedish label STAND has been one of our highlights during Stockholm Fashion Week for the past few seasons now, thanks to the brand’s knack for creating covetable, trend-led outerwear that’s championed by Scandinavia’s favorite cool girls.
For Spring/Summer 2019 STAND, led by designer Nellie Kamras, continued its affinity for combining contrasting textures, pairing soft, cozy faux fur and fuzzy shearling alongside matte and patent leathers. There was a plethora of color, most notable pale yellow, fuchsia and vibrant red and patterns too, like leopard print, snakeskin and beach towel-inspired stripes. Topstitched details and contrasting trims added to the collection’s edgy and unconventional appeal, complemented by fitted, collared shirts and dresses belted at the waist – the unofficial it-girl uniform.
Completing the lineup were spacious and furry striped bags that are sure to be a street style hit next season and fuzzy sandals in both heeled and flat versions, topped with a transparent PVC midfoot strap. Take an exclusive look at what happened behind-the-scenes, prior to the show in the gallery above, and check out STAND’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection, too.
