Nike's Air Jordan 5 Retro Gets Dressed in "Island Green"
Featuring an embellishment by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield.
Nike‘s Jordan Brand just dropped a fresh new colorway to the Air Jordan 5 Retro silhouette dubbed “Island Green.” Inspired by World War 2 fighter planes, the shoe arrives in a low-cut profile and premium leather material.
The new addition to the Air Jordan 5 family features a crisp white reflective upper giving it a classic look while providing durability and support. Pops of teal hues appear around the surface of its lacing system, tongue and its signature plastic netting on the midfoot. Accents of black have been incorporated into the shoelaces and sole of the sneakers to balance out the blue-green tones against its white canvas. To bring the design together, the black midsole features a touch of silver, an embellishment from the P-51 Mustang fighter plane by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield.
