We Try Every 'Stranger Things'-Inspired Ice Cream & Dessert at Baskin-Robbins
From Upside Down Pralines to the U.S.S. Butterscotch Sundae.
Perhaps the biggest and most intense installment in the show’s short history, Stranger Things Season 3 has released alongside a number of special collaborations ranging from collectible Nike sneakers, to Scoops Ahoy-inspired ice cream parlors popping up in the U.S. and Canada. While we can’t make it to the two pop-up locations in Burbank, CA and Toronto, ON, we’re trying every single Stranger Things-inspired ice cream flavor that are currently available at Baskin-Robbins locations across North America until the end of July.
Warning: This post contains spoilers.
Continue reading to see if we think Erica (the ice cream-loving hero of the season portrayed by Priah Ferguson) would approve of these delectable desserts.

Upside Down Pralines
When we heard the name Upside Down, we’re expecting the color of the ice cream to be grayish or blue-tinged, resembling the color scheme of the alternate dimension in Stranger Things. As it turns out, this is actually a classic chocolate flavor topped off with crunchy praline pecans and a chocolate caramel ribbon. This seasonal options is definitely more on the sweet side, but if you’re a chocoholic, you’ll probably enjoy it.
Erica Would Give: 3/5
Upside Down Sundae

Let’s just say that this sundae didn’t really live up to our expectations. From seeing Baskin-Robbins’ official poster, we were given the impression that the Upside Down Sundae will be served — very cleverly and literally — upside down, with the cherry and topping sauce placed at the very bottom, then whipped cream and a big scoop of ice cream layered on top. It was an Instagram vs. reality moment when we finally got to try the sundae, except it looked nothing like what’s photographed in the promotional material. While the presentation simply wasn’t there, the ice cream itself was still a great flavor.
Erica Would Give: 1/5 (She’d probably ask Steve or Robin for free ice cream after this major disappointment.)
When we visited our local Baskin-Robbins store, the Eleven’s Heaven ice cream was already sold out. We’re also told that the shipment for the most highly anticipated flavor, the U.S.S. Butterscotch jokingly made up by Steve Harrington, is unexpectedly delayed. Well, hopefully it isn’t lost in a top secret Russian base because we’re on a mission to try all the treats on the limited-time menu. We shall report back, stay tuned.
