While the upcycling guru joined us in Shanghai for a workshop in July, Nicole McLaughlin will be launching an exclusive capsule collection with Reebok tonight in New York City. The range features 17 pieces including apparel, accessories and footwear, all created using vintage Reebok items.
The artist, who has previously worked with the company as a graphic designer, emphasizes sustainability and upcycling in her work – the inspiration for this lineup comes from her love for Reebok’s heritage, as well as her desire to give old products new lives. Highlights from the handmade pieces include a pair of slip-ons sporting bright blue hues with mesh details.
The Nicole McLaughlin x Reebok capsule is slated for release tonight at Reebok’s Union Square store from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. EST – you can head over to the sportswear company’s website to sign up for a chance to cop the items.
