Iconic Music Venue Cakeshop Seoul Expands Web Shop, Kicking Off With JXCXXX Collaboration
Joining forces with emerging designer, JICHOI.
Similar to other cities worldwide, Seoul‘s nightlife scene has been struggling over the past year due to COVID-19 restrictions. As clubs continue to explore ways to sustain their businesses, Cakeshop is now expanding its web store, kicking off with a limited-edition collaboration with JICHOI‘s sublabel, JXCXXX.
“The idea was to collaborate with artists and brands to produce super-limited quantity items available only on our site. The end goal is to build a catalog of fashion items, exclusive merch from international artists and labels, rare music memorabilia (books, special edition LPs, posters, tees) and more,” the Itaewon-based collective shares on the new project.
The inaugural partnership features a black knitted beanie highlighted with pink embroidery at the front, as well as a 1.2-meter-tall poster that reads, “Good health is the best weapon.” Following this week’s launch, the duo will also be dropping B-cut photo prints in both color and black-and-white options.
You can head over to Cakeshop’s website to shop the new goods. Stay tuned for more joint projects from the label.
