MM6 Maison Margiela Gives Its Iconic Pieces an Upcycled Patchwork Makeover
Including its signature Japanese bag and 6 Heel Boot.
As part of its Spring/Summer 2021 collection, MM6 Maison Margiela has unveiled a limited-edition capsule featuring patchwork iterations of its iconic pieces. The range includes three footwear styles including the 6 Heel Boot, as well as the label’s Japanese bag.
Keeping its sustainability efforts in mind, items in the line are crafted from patches of surplus fabrics sourced from previous seasons, which have been preserved, trimmed and reassembled. Sticking to a neutral color palette, all silhouettes boast different shades of tan and beige, along with simple stitch detailing throughout. MM6 Maison Margiela’s “Upcycled Patchwork” capsule will be available at MM6 stores and online, as well as selected retailers on January 15, 2021.
