Billie Eilish Unveils Video for 'James Bond: No Time To Die' Theme Song
Ahead of the ‘007’ film’s November release.
UPDATE (October 1, 2020): Billie Eilish has released the official music video for her James Bond theme, “No Time To Die.” Directed by Daniel Kleinman, the visual mashes up black-and-white footage of the teen superstar and scenes taken from the upcoming 007 film. Watch the video above.
No Time To Die, the movie, is now set to hit theaters globally this November following delays caused by the pandemic. The film will premiere in the UK on November 12 and in the U.S. on November 20.
UPDATE (February 14, 2020): Following a teaser posted on the star’s Instagram last week, Billie Eilish has finally released the full theme song for James Bond film, No Time To Die. With production by her brother Finneas and Stephen Lipson, the track features orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley, along with The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr.
With this soundtrack, Billie Eilish has set the record for being the youngest artist to ever write and record a James Bond theme. You can stream the full song in the YouTube video below.
In addition to the release, the 18-year-old musician will also be performing with Hans Zimmer and an orchestra at the 2020 Brit Awards in London on February 18.
ORIGINAL STORY (February 7, 2020): Billie Eilish has posted a short audio clip on Instagram teasing her theme song for the next James Bond film, No Time To Die. The Grammy-sweeping artist revealed that she was chosen to perform the song for the newest 007 movie back in January.
“I wrote the theme song to the 25th 007 movie. it’s called ‘No Time To Die’ and it’s out tomorrow at 4pm PT,” Eilish’s caption reads. The brief video features the movie’s stark logo and includes a few seconds of the song’s intro, sans vocals. Fellow musicians Charlie Puth and Yuna took to the comments section and expressed excitement for the upcoming track.
