Maryam Nassir Zadeh Focuses on Minimalism for Its FW20 Collection

Revisiting the designer’s archives and going back to basics.

While Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, New York-based label Maryam Nassir Zadeh opts for a campaign lookbook instead of a runway show this season. According to Vogue, the reason for the change this time around was nothing related to the label’s operations but rather the designer’s personal choice as she had an important wedding to attend.

Rather than adorning outfits with eye-catching details, the designer revisited her archives which focus on minimal styles in items like tailored suits and pleated skirts. Highlighting the collection are glossy trousers and pantsuits in neutral shades like brown and beige, styled with socks and sandal heels for a retro look. Distressed denim skirts, fuzzy fleece pants and a matching neon ensemble are also found in the campaign lensed by Sharna Osborne.
