British 'Vogue' Launches New Nature-Focused #VogueChallenge for Its August 2020 Issue
In honor of the UK’s natural beauty.
Following the launch of its July 2020 cover spotlighting three essential workers in the UK, British Vogue has unveiled its August 2020 issue featuring another #VogueChallenge. Celebrating the UK’s natural sights, the publication’s latest contest invites its readers to “showcase their own favorite photographs of the natural world.”
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming issue’s 20-page story titled “All Across The Land” includes the work of 14 renowned photographers and artists who focus on the “reset” theme. According to British Vogue, the challenge was kicked off by Declan Kearney who shared images of Northern Ireland by photographer Gareth Wray. “I moved to New York more than 20 years ago [to work in fashion], and I would love the opportunity to ‘reset’ by visiting family back home – an impossibility given COVID-19 travel restrictions,” he said. “I also wanted Northern Ireland to be seen, as it truly is a beautiful place, with unique natural areas of interest.”
For those interested in participating, you can now create your own “reset” landscape cover on Instagram. Editor-in-Chief Edward Enninful took to the social media platform to announce that he will choose his favorites later this week.
