Eckhaus Latta Showcases SS21 Collection via Livestream, With Almost No Spectators In-Person
Models were seen in face coverings matching each outfit.
New York Fashion Week took place this season with a shortened schedule and social distancing measures, forcing designers to reveal their collections either digitally, or with almost no in-in-person spectators at all. Eckhaus Latta took its Spring/Summer 2021 runway underneath the Manhattan Bridge, where models donned the latest designs from the label without an audience.
The show involved minimal staff, with models doing their own makeup prior to walking the runway in face coverings matching each of their looks. WFH-friendly designs dominated the collection, with cozy and comfy ‘fits featuring knitted sweaters and crewnecks, along with relaxed trousers and skirts. Following a muted color palette of brown and beige, standout patterns include check prints and tie-dye splashed onto jeans. Ribbed pieces were a mainstay as spotted on matching sets and a cut-out high-neck top, as more home-ready influences were seen in the form of crochet tanks and midi-length skirts. The casual and laidback lineup finished off with items like a brown hoodie and trackpants ensemble, and technical jacket and pants.
