ROTATE Channels '90s Nostalgia With SS22 Collection

Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen bring glamour to Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Shortly after its footwear collaboration with Manu Atelier, Danish label ROTATE Birger Christensen headed to a spacious runway decorated with vintage sports cars to showcase its Spring/Summer 2022 collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Taking inspiration from Fran Drescher’s character Frane Fine from the ’90s sitcom The Nanny, creative directors Thora Valdimars and Jeanette Madsen channeled nostalgic vibes in their latest creations. Sequined tank tops were styled with baggy low-cut trousers, while fuzzy garments were paired with lace pants, adding to the sexy yet glamorous feel. Further standouts from the show include mini dresses accompanied by strappy sandals and knee-high boots by Marsèll, as well as bold warped prints in blue and black. Outfits were accentuated with a sharp contrast in fabrics, as spotted on a look featuring a furry bandeau top and glossy leather pants.

In addition to the SS22 collection, Valdimars and Madsen opened a pop-up installation at the venue with HYPEBAE to tease a collaborative capsule range under the ROTATE Sunday line. Watch model Vincent Beier‘s recap of the night, as well as the SS22 runway in full down below.
