The Season 5 Trailer of 'The Crown' Is Here and It Shows Princess Diana at Her Breaking Point
And features the iconic black revenge dress and her infamous TV interview.
Netflix has finally dropped the official trailer for Season 5 of The Crown, which gives an inside look into Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) dealing with her crumbling marriage to Charles (Dominic West).
Charles says he wants “a more modern monarchy.” Meanwhile, Elizabeth (now played by Imelda Staunton) tells him, “I don’t think it’s my behavior that’s threatening its survival.”
We also get to see Diana’s point of view. “People will never understand how it’s really been for me… I never stood a chance,” she says. “I won’t go quietly … I’ll battle till the end.”
Season 5 covers several memorable media moments in the Princess of Wales’ life, including her revenge dress and her infamous TV interview where in real life, Diana called herself the “Queen of People’s Hearts.”
Diana’s death will not be covered in the upcoming season. Instead, it will be featured in Season 6, which will also be the series’ final installment.
