After six years of dating and being engaged, HyunA and DAWN are no longer together.

The former 4Minute member took to Instagram to make the announcement. “We broke up. We’ve decided to be good friends and coworkers. Thank you all for being supportive of our relationship,” the 30-year-old wrote.

The two were one of the very few couples to openly date in the K-pop space, making their relationship public in August 2018. HyunA and DAWN first started dating in May 2016 and announced their engagement earlier this year in February.

Both signed under PSY‘s label P NATION, HyunA and DAWN released their first and only duet album in September 2021. Titled 1+1=1, the record featured four tracks including their hit “PING PONG.” “The best part is that we know each other better than anyone else. Sometimes, HyunA knows me a lot more than even I know myself. We know each other’s strengths so we can trust each other to put out our best,” DAWN spoke of the collaboration at the time with HYPEBEAST Korea.
