UPDATE (March 24, 2023): After much anticipation, BTS member Jimin‘s solo album titled FACE has finally arrived.

The full record, featuring five tracks, arrives after last week’s pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt. 2.” The 27-year-old accompanies the album with a music video for the title song “Like Crazy.”

A press release explains, “FACE illustrates honest feelings Jimin experienced during the pandemic. It represents Jimin’s breakthrough and growth achieved through vanquishing loneliness and struggles beneath the glare of stardom.”

UPDATE (March 17, 2023): Just ahead of the release of his solo album FACE, BTS member Jimin has released a track titled “Set Me Free Pt. 2.”

Packed with hip-hop beats, the track is described to “portray Jimin’s resolution to free himself by overcoming the pain, sorrow and emptiness hidden deep inside him,” as explained in a press release. “Set me free,” a chorus sings throughout the song.

Watch the music video for “Set Me Free Pt. 2” below. The full FACE album is due to release on March 24.

ORIGINAL STORY (February 23, 2023): Jimin is the latest member of BTS to embark on a solo journey, following in the footsteps of RM, Suga, Jin and J-Hope. The anticipated release comes after multiple feats from the 27-year-old: a buzzy single with Big Bang’s Taeyang and a major brand deal with Dior.

Titled FACE, the album is comprised of five tracks: “Face-off,” “Interlude : Drive,” “Alone,” a pre-release track “Set Me Free Pt. 2” and the main track “Like Crazy,” which will arrive in Korean and English versions. “Set Me Free Pt. 2” is slated to arrive on March 17 ahead of the full album scheduled to drop on March 24.

While not much else information is available just yet, the album’s cover features the title FACE on a metallic surface with circular ripples replicating the surface of water. Ahead of the release, Jimin also released a black-and-white teaser video showcasing some behind-the-moments of himself putting together the album. In the clip, viewers can get a sneak peek of some of the tracks.

An official press release describes “Like Crazy” as “a synth pop song with intense synth sound and drum sound, upon which Jimin’s poignant timbre draws a beautiful distinction” while “Set Me Free Pt. 2” is “about his resolution to free himself from various emotions hidden deep inside him.”

While FACE marks his first solo album, this isn’t Jimin’s first solo gig. Back in 2019, he released his first solo single titled “Promise” and most recently joined forces with Taeyang on a viral single dubbed “VIBE.”

Take a sneak peek at the album in the video above and stay tuned as Jimin rolls out new tracks for his solo album FACE.
