Following AMBUSH’s collaboration with Nike, the brand helmed by Yoon Ahn is finally dropping its much-awaited Converse drop. The monochromatic release includes a Chuck 70 reimagined in tonal white leather, with a stacked flatform sole, layered lacing unit and the AMBUSH logo and some lacing instructions stamped on in black. The Pro Leather arrives in black rubber with the chevron star logo subtly stamped on the sidewall also in black and boasts the AMBUSH text logo and the number 9 on the heel in vibrant yellow. These are both a practical alternative to your usual Converse kicks as the unpredictable fall weather hits.
As the Mexican holiday Dia De Los Muertos approaches on November 2, Nike has teased its Air Force 1 silhouette that’s inspired by the traditional event. The signature white upper remains but is contrasted by binding in shades of yellow, pink, blue and green. There’s a pink and black grid print on the tongue, a black leather patch with white Nike branding on the heel and a sugar skull emblem on the insole but the real surprise becomes visible in the dark. It’s then that a reflective, intricate skull pattern becomes visible across the sidewall and Swoosh – these are ideal for those looking for sneakers with an extra-special twist.
