UPDATE: Megan Thee Stallion and Normani Put On a Glittery Show in New "Diamonds" Music Video

Complete with opulent costumes.

UPDATE (January 10, 2020): One of the most anticipated songs off the recently revealed Birds of Prey soundtrack, “Diamonds” by Megan Thee Stallion and Normani has received its own music video.

The video intersperses fight scenes starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn with shots of Megan and Normani taking on a band of masked villains at a circus-style funhouse. Fittingly, the two rappers flaunt gold and pink diamond-encrusted outfits in the action-packed visual. Blending retro influences with a bass-heavy beat, the song samples Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend.”

Birds of Prey: The Album releases February 7, the same day the movie premieres.

UPDATE (January 9, 2020): Last month, Megan Thee Stallion took to Instagram to reveal a collaboration with fellow artist Normani on a track for the upcoming Birds of Prey movie starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Following the duo’s recent teasers of the song’s cover art, “Hot Girl Summer” singer and the former Fifth Harmony member have finally released the track, dubbed “Diamonds.” The danceable collaboration appears alongside the soundtrack’s still-unreleased contributions by artists including Doja Cat, Summer Walker and Halsey.

Stream “Diamonds” by Megan Thee Stallion and Normani below, and be sure to check out the latest trailer for Birds of Prey, premiering on February 7.

ORIGINAL STORY (December 22, 2019): Announced via Instagram, Megan Thee Stallion took to the social media platform to unveil that she has a forthcoming collaboration with Normani on a track for the highly anticipated Birds of Prey film, which stars Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn. Along with the caption, “I don’t kno if I attract crazy or if I makem that way,” the series of images unveil what seems to be a first look at the music video for the collaborative track.

In the first image, the rapper appears to wield Harley Quinn’s weapon of choice: an oversized mallet. The second image in the gallery shows Megan The Stallion in an embellished gold bodysuit, while the final visual shows the duo in a car.

Although details are still sparse regarding the upcoming collaboration, we definitely cannot wait to hear the track. You can take a look at Megan The Stallion’s announcement post below.

Birds of Prey is slated to arrive in theaters on February 7, 2020. To take a closer look at the flick’s supporting characters, don’t miss the film’s latest official poster.
