The singer calls on her fans to participate in the November election.
Billie Eilish, who will participate in her very first presidential election come November, has launched a voter registration initiative. The singer, who turned 18 in December, announced the program in an Instagram video urging her followers to get involved.
“This is gonna be my first time voting…I used to not care about this kind of thing and I think it’s really important that you care,” she says in the short clip. “If you care about yourself, if you care about your friends and racial injustices and climate change, you gotta vote,” she concludes. To participate, simply text BILLIE to 50409 to register, check your voter registration and pledge to vote with the singer.
