Gentle Monster and Jennie of BLACKPINK Announce "Jentle Home" Pop-Up

Inspired by Jennie’s childhood memories.

UPDATE (May 6, 2020): Gentle Monster has officially announced a pop-up space to accompany its collaborative eyewear collection with Jennie of BLACKPINK. The space, opening in Seoul, is dubbed “Jentle Home” and presents a fantastical dollhouse world inspired by Jennie’s childhood memories.

To ensure safety, the pop-up requires that all visitors wear protective face masks and get their temperature checked at the door. Anyone with a temperature above 37.5 degrees Celsius (99.5 degrees Fahrenheit) will be denied entry.

The Jennie x Gentle Monster “Jentle Home” pop-up will open in Seoul from May 13 to September 12.

ORIGINAL STORY (April 13, 2020): K-pop star Jennie of BLACKPINK has teamed up with Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster for a collection of sunglasses and accessories, dubbed “Jentle Home.” The collaboration’s newly released campaign, shot by Hugo Comte, stars Jennie herself wearing select styles from the range.

Oversized square frames make a statement while oval, wire rims are stylish yet scholarly. A series of rectangular cat-eye models arrive in clear blue, tortoiseshell and classic black. Rimless rose-tinted shades, an early-2000s throwback, round out the lineup. Eyewear accessories include glasses chains in dainty silver and chunky blue chainlink.

Jennie’s Gentle Monster collection ranges from $130 to $260 USD and launches at Gentle Monster’s website on April 21. The collection will also be available in-store once it’s deemed safe again for the brand’s New York and Los Angeles flagships to re-open. In addition, a “Jentle Home” pop-up shop in Seoul will be open to the public in May.
