Ethical Fashion Advocate Rachael Wang Teams up With OOKIOH for Sustainable Swimwear Collection
Made with recycled nylon and plastic bottles.
Stylist, creative director and ethical fashion advocate Rachael Wang has joined forces with eco-friendly label OOKIOH for a swimwear collection. The range highlights the LA-based brand’s commitment to going pre-consumer plastic-free by 2022.
From bikinis to one-piece swimsuits in photo-ready shades like deep green, dusty khaki and white, Rachael Wang has worked with OOKIOH for ethically-crafted items made with recycled nylon and plastic bottles. While OOKIOH’s products are usually made in Italy, this time around, the collaboration is focused on working with local garment workers in Wang’s hometown, LA. Keeping the full supply chain sustainable, the line is packaged in 100-percent compostable polymail. The collection additionally offers inclusive sizing with options ranging from XS to XXL.
