The WNBA has revealed the official TV spot for its 2020 season, which runs from July 24 through September 14. Directed by New York-based creative Elena Parasco, the commercial honors the power and resilience of women.

Titled “Make Way,” the 60-second spot features star players including Sue Bird of Seattle Storm, A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces and Diamond DeShields of Chicago Sky. On-court clips are interspersed with close-ups of the players, set to a voiceover by Seimone Augustus of the Los Angeles Sparks. ”Make way for the sisterhood that is rising,” she says. “It’s time to not just know the WNBA, but the women behind it.”

In related news, A’ja Wilson penned an essay, “Dear Black Girls,” detailing the racism Black women face.
