BLACKPINK Talks New Album in October Issue of 'ELLE'

The K-pop sensation stars on the cover of the latest issue.

Building anticipation for their upcoming album and Netflix special, the members of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK opened up to ELLE Magazine about their whirlwind rise to fame, hectic schedules and most importantly, their new project, THE ALBUM.

At the time of their interview, Jennie, Jisoo, Rosé and Lisa hadn’t yet announced that BLACKPINK’s debut full-length studio album arrives in just two weeks, on October 2. Though the group has been around since 2016, BLACKPINK’s discography is comprised of only 15 songs (of course, they all boast billions of Spotify streams). Their music video for “How You Like That” even broke three Guinness World Records after garnering 86.3 million views in 24 hours. “We’re moved by our fans,” Jisoo told ELLE‘s Maria Sherman. “We feel their sadness and happiness. We’re deeply connected.”

Head to the ELLE website to check out BLACKPINK’s full interview and editorial for the magazine’s October issue.
