ORIGINAL STORY (March 16, 2023): K-pop quartet aespa is gearing up for their awaited comeback, with SM Entertainment confirming a new album slated for a May release.

“aespa is preparing to make a comeback aimed for May,” the South Korean company shared in a statement, refraining from revealing any additional details on the record. While not much information is known as of writing, the upcoming album will mark aespa’s first release in 10 months since their second mini-album titled Girls. The “virtual hybrid” K-pop group made their debut in 2020, quickly expanding their reach worldwide by performing at Coachella in 2022.

According to reports, the album was originally slated to release in February but was postponed due to internal conflicts. The new tracks will likely include unreleased songs aespa performed during their concert.

Stay tuned as we learn more about aespa’s new album.
