ARMYs Weren't Allowed To Cheer or Stand Up During BTS' Seoul Concert
But they found a clever way to show their support despite the restrictions.
BTS fans in Seoul devised a clever way to show their support for the K-pop group amid a shouting and standing restriction during Thursday night’s live concert.
Held at Seoul Olympic Stadium, the performance was the band’s first in-person concert in their hometown since the start of the pandemic. According to Mirror, the 15,000 showgoers were forbidden from “cheering, yelling, chanting and standing up” due to COVID-19 protocols. Despite the rules, fans utilized light-up “clappers” handed out prior to the show to applaud during the septet’s numbers. ARMYs clapped in unison during and after songs with the help of BTS who provided cues on a digital screen using heart-shaped graphics.
The clappers will most likely be provided again for the remaining two shows. Take a look at a video of the device in action here.
