March has brought not only warmer weather but also some great albums and singles. The third month of the year has been filled with some highly anticipated drops from some of our favorite artists, such as Miley Cyrus and Lana Del Rey. However, it’s also graced us with some of the best music we never knew we needed, including a collab between J. Cole and BTSJ-Hope and an album from fictional band Daisy Jones & The Six. Keep scrolling to learn more about the best music released in March.

Miley Cyrus — Endless Summer Vacation

So far, 2023 has turned out to be a big year for Miley Cyrus. In January, she released her hit single “Flowers,” which paved the way for her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, which she dropped on March 10. Along with the LP, Cyrus released a Backyard Sessions special via Disney+, allowing fans to connect with her music even more.

Lana Del Rey — Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd

Lana Del Rey finally released her ninth studio album, Did You Know That There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. The LP is comprised of 16 tracks, including features by Bleachers, Tommy Genesis and more. This past summer, the singer-slash-songwriter took to social media to reveal some of her belongings, such as her laptop and external hard drives, got stolen out of her car. As a result, music from her album, which had not been released yet, began getting leaked. She then decided to release the album sooner than previously planned.

Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro — RR

Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro finally gave the fans what they wanted — a collaborative project. The power couple released an EP titled RR, which consists of three tracks “Promesa,” “Vampiros” and “Beso.” The pair used music to give fans an insight into their personal lives. In the music video for”Beso,” the Spain native showed off a ring, announcing her engagement to the reggaeton artist.

boygenius — The Record

Supergroup boygenius, made up of Phoebe BridgersLucy Dacus, and Julien Baker, finally released their debut album, The Record. In January, they made an announcement they were putting out their first album and shared three songs from the LP — “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry” and “True Blue,” giving fans a taste of what was to come. Bridgers previously revealed that their unexpected reunion happened during the COVID-19 pandemic, which inspired them to make music together once again.

Kali Uchis — Red Moon In Venus

Kali Uchis released her third studio album, Red Moon In Venus. The LP is comprised of eight tracks and features by Omar Apollo, Don Toliver and Summer Walker. Prior to the project’s release, Uchis had previously taken to Twitter to reveal she was dropping two albums this year — one in English and another in Spanish, which we can expect next.

J-Hope and J. Cole — “on the street”

J-Hope and J. Cole may be one of the most unexpected collabs we’ve gotten this year so far. The BTS member and the rapper joined forces to drop “on the street.” The track ended up being a dream come true for the K-pop star. “When I started listening to music, the first artist I listened to was J. Cole,” he revealed in a behind-the-scenes video. “Being able to work with J. Cole after 10 years as a fan, I’m so happy. It’s just all new and I still can’t believe it.”

Daisy Jones & The Six — AURORA

Daisy Jones & The Six may technically be a fictional band from the Prime Video series of the same name, which is inspired by Taylor Jenkis Reid’s 2019 book, but their album, AURORA, is as real as it gets. The show is loosely based on the Fleetwood Mac music era in the 1970s, and AURORA is a perfect reflection of that. Daisy Jones, who is played by Riley Keough, aka Elvis Presley‘s eldest grandchild, shows talent sure does run in the family.

6lack — Since I Have A Lover

6lack (pronounced black) dropped his third studio album, Since I Have A Lover. The LP marks his first full-length project in five years. SIHAL, which maintains 6lack’s signature sound of hip-hop and R&B, is comprised of 19 tracks and features by Wale, Don Toliver and Quin.
